Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Formal training and/or demonstrated proficiency and experience in mechanical system equipment.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering mechanical and/or electrical disciplines desirable.
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Course in civil engineering, HVA mechanical systems, and electronic/electrical control systems are desirable
  • Refrigerant certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains operates, troubleshoots, evaluates, repairs, adjusts and calibrates heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including pneumatic electronic and mechanical control systems.
  • Performs industrial water tests and treatment.
  • Utilizes and updates engineering drawings and maintenance manuals and instructions.
  • Maintains complete logs, files and historical records of malfunctions and repairs of assigned equipment.
  • Operates and maintains the Facility Monitoring System (FMS) to control, obtain status, reset alarms and respond to indications of equipment malfunctions.
  • Performs corrosion control and maintains operation and maintenance records, performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists other civil engineering maintenance workers in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Performs other duties not limited to general housekeeping, safety and environmental practices, requisitions parts, monitors bench stock, supply point, maintains data/logs/files, complies with security policies, PWS directive publications, completes ancillary training and participates in exercises.
  • Performs operations of equivalent level involving the same type of work requiring the same skills, effort and responsibilities under the same working conditions as mission requirements change.
  • Performs other duties as required.
