We are actively seeking skilled and reliable HVAC and Plumbing Technicians to join our network as 1099 independent contractors in the Philadelphia, PA (19144) area. This role is ideal for multi-skilled technicians who can diagnose, repair, and maintain both HVAC and plumbing systems. Contractors enjoy flexible scheduling, consistent job flow, and strong earning potential. Technicians must be able to service a 50-mile radius around Philadelphia, covering surrounding suburbs and rural areas. Local candidates are preferred; however, technicians willing to travel within the service area are also encouraged to apply. Candidates who hold EPA 608 Certification and/or state HVAC or plumbing licenses will receive priority consideration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician, plumbing technician, or multi-trade service professional.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and residential plumbing.
  • EPA 608 Certification (required for HVAC work).
  • State HVAC license (preferred).
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Excellent time management, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of covering a 50-mile radius from Philadelphia.
  • Ownership of professional HVAC and plumbing tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed multi-trade technicians and contractors are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and service residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, and mini-split systems.
  • Perform HVAC installations, replacements, upgrades, and seasonal maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and mechanical issues.
  • Complete work orders accurately and on time.
  • Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at each job site.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, repairs, and service recommendations.
  • Provide your own tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicle.
  • Maintain general liability insurance (assistance can be provided if needed).
