About The Position

The HVAC technician is a position in the Facilities Management department that requires significant experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, or installation. The HVAC Technician II will preferably be actively pursuing a formal licensure or working in a formal apprenticeship. Regardless of specialty, an HVAC Technician II may be required to perform other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with other projects. Essential Functions Responsible for the maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance and inspections, diagnosing and repairing issues, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently and effectively. Work with a variety of systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and control systems. Works with little supervision or with minimal support from outside contractors.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Demonstrated abilities of the skills listed above
  • A valid driver license may be required for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
