WeatherTech is seeking a well-qualified HVAC Technician to maintain and repair the HVAC systems for the company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of prior experience responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and cooling equipment
  • Have at least 2 years of commercial HVAC experience with an HVAC certification
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, refrigeration and electronic components of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems
  • Must be highly proficient at hands-on work
  • Ability to read blueprints/manuals, and interpret control schematics
  • Must have high attention to detail to observe work for quality and accuracy
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Familiarity with building & safety codes and OSHA regulations
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic with both the ability to work independently and also collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must possess excellent stamina and strength in order to perform constant strenuous manual labor
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Modify, inspect, troubleshoot, repair & maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
  • Perform all work, jobs, and tasks in compliance with specifications, procedures, all applicable governmental rules & regulations, building & safety codes, and other regulations
  • Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning units
  • Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Ensure safety and quality control for activities and personnel
  • Provide ongoing communication regarding job/task status, deviations, and any other concerns affecting schedule, budget, staffing, safety, or other situations that would impact the company; anticipate potential problem areas; analyze and recommend solutions or corrective actions; record and report on work accomplished and materials used
  • Travel between various company locations; monitor and inspect all work areas; review accomplished work
  • Keep up-to-date with technical knowledge associated with the HVAC field and apply new knowledge on the job
  • Work a full-time schedule; work overtime as business demands; be available for emergency service needs
  • Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area(s) to ensure all are able to perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
  • Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition; clean and maintain equipment
  • Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
