About The Position

Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. Our offering of comprehensive mechanical services includes hot side cooking equipment, stand-alone refrigeration, specialty coffee and beverage, complex rack refrigeration and HVAC. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
  • Certification or associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school required
  • Must hold state driver’s license
  • Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand
  • Critical-thinker, problem-solver
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; climb; carry; bend; kneel; reach; push; pull and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions

  • Previous on the job training a plus

Responsibilities

  • Travel to businesses on a daily basis as scheduled
  • Perform consultations with customers
  • Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods
  • Install new heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
  • Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
  • Troubleshoot current HVAC and refrigeration system issues
  • Repair damaged HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions including invoices
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
