The HVAC Technician performs preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related environmental control systems. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, often in safety-sensitive industrial, operational, or secure facility environments. Technicians must effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment to ensure efficient and compliant facility operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (3) years’ experience as an HVAC Technician in industrial, commercial, or similar environments.
  • Trade certification in HVAC or equivalent proof of competency (certificates, letters of recommendation, apprenticeship documentation).
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Must be willing to work in an environmental and safety-compliant industrial setting.
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Must meet fitness-for-duty standards and pass required training programs.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to a U.S. Army installation (base access) in accordance with applicable government/customer requirements.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of federal safety standards (OSHA) and military or government facility regulations.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
  • Ability to work in controlled, safety-sensitive, or high-compliance environments while following strict safety protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and controls.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigerant systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Support emergency response and scheduled maintenance tasks.
