About The Position

DMG North is a growing company in the evolving field of building commissioning, and we strive to make buildings work better. Specializing in the optimization of complex building systems, our team's diversified skill set provides value to our clients from the design stages of new construction all the way through operating existing buildings. Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. The DMG North team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients. The HVAC Service Technician specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. We are searching for both experienced and entry-level HVAC technicians to help support the growing service business. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable and have good customer service skills. This role would service our Sacramento area.

Requirements

  • Field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning.
  • Must have knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems.
  • Expected to travel 50% of the time
  • EPA Type 1 & 2 of universal certification
  • Must have your own hand tools.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to: Lift up to 50lbs
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Bend or twist their body.
  • Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
  • Repeat the same movements.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
  • Assisting with customers' queries in a professional manner.
