About The Position

Gensco is seeking an HVAC Technical Support Representative to join their Technical Services Team in Boise, Idaho. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their career in HVAC with a successful, family-owned industry leader. The position is based in Boise, Idaho, and requires some travel. The primary responsibility is to provide technical support and training for Gensco's equipment, offering guidance on installation, service, and repair to customer technicians and Gensco team members. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, capable of identifying and resolving issues or escalating them appropriately, and will act as a liaison between the factory and Gensco customers/team members on technical equipment matters.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree and/or equivalent work experience required
  • Customer service-oriented approach, respond to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent driving record
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong people skills, recognizes when to use formal or informal approach
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Able to operate personal computer, proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other software
  • Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
  • Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies as necessary
  • Able to travel as required

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of related work experience and excellent technical knowledge of HVAC industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical knowledge about the equipment sold by Gensco to Customers and Team Members via phone, email, text, and field site visit
  • Provide consultation to Customers on the technical aspects of equipment installation, service, and repair
  • Act as a liaison between the factory and Gensco Customers and Team Members on technical matters about equipment sold by Gensco
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent time management, strong people skills, and organizational skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software
