The right HVAC Technician I will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. This role exists to perform a variety of basic technical tasks related to assisting in the service and repair of all heating, air conditioning, and related culinary equipment located throughout Dollywood Company properties. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable. Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist in repairing mechanical and electrical systems with heating and cooling equipment Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of heating and cooling equipment Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation Investigate heating and air conditioning complaints; perform minor repair Install air and water filters on various equipment across all Dollywood Company properties Use the TMA work order system for work assignments and record time and materials for each work assignment Assess HVAC and other equipment drainage problems and performs necessary repairs Operate a variety of hand and power tools, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized in the trade Must be able to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining company’s equipment Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required Must be able to climb ladders and work off roofing to clean coils and change HVAC filters Must work independently as well as in a team setting Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • At least 6 months experience of HVAC experience, preferred
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of basic heating and cooling systems
  • Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check
  • Must have valid driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

  • Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 lbs) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 lbs)
  • Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft
  • Able to endure approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Able to be clean shaven in order to properly utilize a respirator

Responsibilities
