About The Position

This individual is responsible for the supervision of operations and repairs to the mechanical systems to include heating, ventilation, air condition, refrigeration and steam boilers. Supervise and manage Team Members and requisitioning of equipment, supplies and materials.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Schooling in HVAC system required.
• Minimum of four years in overall maintenance and plant operations. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, steam boilers, air conditioning, refrigeration, pneumatic controls and AHU's.
• Ability to train and supervise boiler operators, sheet metal mechanics, plumbers and A/C mechanic.
• Years of experience determined by the quality of assignments and related to position responsibilities.
• Skills in oral and written communication required.
• Operate steam boilers, chillers, A/C units, all power tools, electrical and mechanical equipment and systems for an overall plant operations required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems including: chillers, boilers, refrigeration, pneumatic controls, compress air systems, air handler units, assist Team Members in troubleshooting equipment and systems, medical air, surgical suction.
• Responsible for maintenance schedules of heating and A/C systems, steam boilers and converters, compressors and pneumatic controls, refrigeration systems and surgical air changes.
• Supervises and managers assigned Plant Services Team Members including: counseling, evaluations, implementation of PM programs, work schedules, conducts training programs for Team Members.
• Supervises the requisitioning and purchasing of equipment, supplies and materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
