ACIBuilds.com Summary/Objective: The HVAC Start Up / Commissioning Technician will support field trade teams and/or third party contractors and oversee and direct maintenance and/or personnel and processes critical to the safe and efficient completion of tasks. Must have ability to effectively survey any repairs needed, create a repair scenario and effectively implement scenario. Background in Controls or HVAC.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC trade field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
• Previous experience in an operational and customer facing role
• In-depth knowledge of two or more of the following disciplines: plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC Cooling and ducted air systems, general construction practices, generator systems, and controls systems
• Excellent building services knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available to work assigned schedules
• Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

• Prior military experience
• HS diploma or GED equivalent
• HVAC, HVAC, Commercial HVAC, H.V.A.C. , Start Up , Commissioning HVAC

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Set up and implementation of HVAC systems, starting them up and successfully programing them
• Work with the multiple clients to schedule and successfully perform assigned tasks
• Supervise tasks and projects assigned
• Investigate, evaluate, and recommend changes and modifications to improve safety
• Maintain inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance records
• Manage employee time records and daily activity reports
• Participate in safety inspections, job safety analyses, and safety meetings
• Testing of new equipment / repair equipment to design specifications
• Performs other duties as assigned
