Job Title : HVAC Specialist - 3rd Shift Reporting To: Supervisor, HVAC Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Minimum 5 years of documented HVAC maintenance and repair experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and work history relating to HVAC system troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical concepts relating to HVAC maintenance and repair

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with process/production/industrial cooling systems a plus, but not required
  • Experience with hot water boilers, hydronic heating systems and pumps a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance service on various types of industrial/commercial equipment. Service consists of filter changes, belt changes, lubrication, electrical checks, and general inspection on the following types of equipment: Packaged roof top units Heat pumps Cooling towers Chillers Ductless split systems Fan coil/air handling units Humidifiers Exhaust/Supply fans
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on HVAC equipment.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials specific to job at hand
  • Record repair and maintenance activities within maintenance management software program.
  • Work individually much of the time but will be part of a larger working group depending on the task.
  • Work from ladders, powered manlifts, scaffolds, rooftops, operate forklifts in the performance of your daily duties
  • Conduct effective day to day communications with both internal and external customers to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
  • Possess the ability to lift 50 pounds, and 60 pounds or more with assistance.
