About The Position

University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College at North Little Rock is an integral part of the Arkansas Technical and Community College System maintained by the State of Arkansas. The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. UA - Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offers associate degree and certificate programs for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and/or for career preparation and advancement. The responsibilities of the HVAC Skilled Trades Helper include performing routine maintenance, replacing parts, repairing machinery, and assisting with general maintenance of buildings and equipment. General Responsibilities: • The HVAC Skilled Trades Helper maintains, repairs, and trouble shoots on HVAC systems and the associated equipment. • Under supervision, you'll change filters, clean coils, assist with installs, and check ductwork for leaks. • Assist with other maintenance tasks when needed. • Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in HVAC and maintenance areas.
Ability to learn to perform manual labor under varying working conditions
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
Physical requirements include lifting, stooping, pulling, pushing, reaching, and climbing.
EPA 608 Universal Technician Certification

Three years’ experience in the HVAC & Refrigeration

Responsibilities
