About The Position
NexGen HVAC & Plumbing is looking for a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join their team in Simi Valley, CA. This full-time, permanent role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and reliable solutions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in HVAC service, repair, and maintenance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and refrigeration cycles
Nice To Haves
- EPA Universal Certification
- Experience with smart thermostats and modern HVAC systems
- Prior customer-facing service experience
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (residential and light commercial)
- Troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration-related issues
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers
- Document service work accurately and maintain service records
- Keep service vehicle clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes
- Manage service routes efficiently and complete jobs on schedule
