Job Title: Service Technician - Class II - III Summary: Install, service, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems. Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting. Location: This role is based out of the Raleigh office and serves the East Raleigh, SC area. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Posting covers Class 2, Class 3, Class 4, and Class 5 Service Technician. Duties are based on the candidate’s qualifications below. Class 2 Service Technician Basic understanding of < 20-ton Unitary Equipment, CHW AHU's, Ex Fans, Gas Heat, Electric Heat, Heat Pumps Basic Troubleshooting and repairs Able to read schematics Able to diagnose refrigerant system issues Understanding of psychometrics Basic controls Basic quoting skills Class 3 Service Technician Understanding of 5 through 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, computer room units (CRAC), Pneumatic and DDC controls. Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on 100 ton and less unitary DX equipment. Capable of all repairs needed on rooftop package equipment. Perform basic troubleshooting on air-cooled chillers. Troubleshoot and repair water cooled package equipment. Diagnose problems using electrical schematics. Diagnosing refrigerant system issues. Basic understanding variable frequency drives. Diagnose issues with variable air volume equipment (VAV’s/PIU’s)
