American Residential Services (ARS), is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to oversee our Service department. Work for the nation's largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. Requirements

  • 4 years of Residential HVAC service experience
  • 3+ years HVAC management or supervisory experience
  • Sales experience required
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong leadership, communication, computer, and math skills
  • Ability to manage people, operations, and budgets effectively

Nice To Haves

  • TX State license and HVAC code knowledge (preferred)
  • Experience in a high-volume residential service environment with a focus on upselling, cross-selling, and revenue growth

Responsibilities

  • This role requires a leader with technical depth to troubleshoot complex HVAC Service systems, while optimizing labor productivity, ensuring OSHA safety compliance, and maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HVAC Service Techs, overseeing strategic hiring, technical training, coaching and performance management.
  • Oversee daily field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor labor costs, materials, equipment, and expenses to achieve budgeted margins and profits.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers to resolve issues and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with the dispatch team to improve technician utilization rates and ensure the right skill set is matched to every service call.
  • Perform regular job site inspections to audit workmanship, ensure code compliance, and implement strategies to reduce callbacks.
  • Track departmental operations, inventory, tools, vehicles, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local codes.
  • Provide ongoing on-the-job training and development for technicians to level up skills.
  • Lead weekly technician meetings and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
