This unique role combines HVAC and Controls knowledge, where the technician will be responsible for starting and commissioning new systems, as well as diagnosing and repairing environmental-control systems. This involves utilizing expertise in electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and control and mechanical techniques in various commercial settings. The role serves as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems on-site. The technician coordinates with team leaders and customers to understand requirements, forecasts issues, gathers materials, and synchronizes on-site work. They are expected to stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems. Safety is a top priority, and the technician must maintain security and accountability of company assets. The position requires flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays.
