About The Position

Sierra Air is seeking a Sales-first leader to serve as our HVAC Sales Manager/Trainer. This role is focused on building, training, and leading high-performing sales teams across multiple home-service verticals, including HVAC, plumbing, insulation, and membership programs. This position is not operations-driven. Deep technical HVAC or plumbing experience is not required. Instead, we are looking for a proven sales leader and sales trainer—someone who knows how to coach selling behaviors, build repeatable sales systems, and drive consistent revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Strong sales leadership background (home services preferred, but not required)
  • Proven experience training, coaching, and developing sales teams
  • Demonstrated success improving: Close rates Average ticket Add-on / membership attachment
  • Experience building sales systems, scripts, and processes
  • Comfortable holding teams accountable to numbers and behaviors

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to HVAC, plumbing, or home services sales
  • Experience working with in-home or consultative sales models
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales dashboards

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute scalable sales strategies that increase close rates, average ticket, and total revenue
  • Build repeatable sales processes that work across multiple service lines
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine sales training programs
  • Coach sales professionals on: Discovery and needs-based selling Objection handling Value-based pricing conversations Closing techniques Add-on and membership attachment
  • Conduct ride-alongs, call reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performance sales organization
  • Set clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards
  • Create a culture focused on execution, professionalism, and results
  • Oversee sales performance across: HVAC replacements and service Plumbing sales Insulation sales Membership and recurring revenue programs
  • Ensure consistent sales messaging regardless of product or service
  • Track and analyze key sales metrics (close rate, average ticket, attachment rate, conversion)
  • Identify skill gaps and deploy targeted training solutions
  • Use data—not opinions—to drive improvement
  • Partner with operations and marketing to align sales promises with delivery
  • Ensure smooth handoffs from sale to execution without bottlenecks
  • Understand competitive pricing models, sales tactics, and consumer buying behavior
  • Adjust sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge
