About The Position

Located in our Springfield, IL facility and reporting to the Service Manager, the HVAC/R Service Technician will service, install, maintain, air conditioning & refrigeration systems. Applied HVAC/R Technician performs tests and analysis of data to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and provide recommendations to customers as appropriate.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of HVAC level at maintenance & repair experience in the HVAC/R and refrigeration trade.
Evaluate and troubleshoot condition of operating equipment and controls to ensure continued proper & safe operation.
Perform routine repairs.
Inspect and test systems operations.
Determine customer concerns with their current applied HVAC/R systems.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and troubleshoot the condition of operating equipment and controls to ensure continued proper & safe operation.

Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
Discuss mechanical malfunctions with customers.
Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
Assist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams.
Install, connect components related to our industry.
Generate work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction.
Assemble, position, install HVAC equipment, following blueprints.
