Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school.
  • 1+ years of experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or other related industry/trade preferred.
  • Ability to operate a scissor lift or forklift preferred.
  • Proficient in soldering, brazing and MIG welding.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to perform work in accordance with safe work practices and rules.
  • Ability to use basic layout, hand and power tools including drills, fuel gas tools, electrical meters and measurement tools, etc.
  • Knowledge of AC system and refrigeration cycle functioning; HVAC equipment airflow requirements; electricity, voltage and color codes; duct work codes and seismic bracing codes; different HVAC controls; smart T-stats, etc.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding abbreviations and basic information of plan sets, as well as customer specifications
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a variety of working conditions, including scaling ladders to various heights, outdoors in hot/cold temperatures, in noisy environments, etc.
  • Ability to use typical computer tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate a scissor lift or forklift preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or other related industry/trade preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install equipment, by project requirements and under the direction of a senior technician: HVAC: air handler drains, piping for split systems, overhead duct hangers and ductwork, etc.
  • Perform all assigned work safely and responsibly. Use power and hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE as directed and required by Source, customer, and contract policy.
  • Escalate problems and concerns (safety, quality of work, etc.) to on-site senior technicians or project managers promptly.
  • Always maintain clean and professional job sites/work areas. Properly store, disassemble, or remove all spare and waste materials created on assigned job sites.
  • Provide assistance and support to senior technician/s on a job.
  • Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Installation of all types of piping including PVC, copper (brazing), copper line sets.
