About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities for Daikin Applied’s shipping / receiving department to ensure that inbound materials are properly checked in, packaged and stocked; outbound materials are checked in and proper disposition is completed. Location: Onsite in Long Island City, with support in Brooklyn What you will do: Coordinate communications between shipping / receiving department and customer service/purchasing group to ensure quality customer support Develop, maintain and execute procedures for the quality handling, packaging, labeling, shipping and receiving of materials Assign daily job responsibilities to shipping and receiving department employees based on availability of resources and inbound/outbound shipping volumes Schedule temporary employees as needed based upon availability of resources and inbound/outbound shipping volumes Train and monitor shipping /receiving department employees in areas of job functions, company policies and regulatory compliance Coordinate communications between shipping / receiving departments and other departments to continuously improve the warehouse's ability to service Daikin customers Manage full cycle warranty process Develop improvements in warehouse policies and procedures to promote increased business profitability, customer support and employee well-being Work with other groups within the Daikin parts organization as needed to resolve problems within the business Administer company policies as needed Manage warehouses in Long Island City and Brooklyn parts stores (you will be based out of the Long Island City parts store) What’s in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • 5 years related experience
  • 2+ years people leadership experience
  • 6 months minimum HVAC parts experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with warehouse management software

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year Associate degree

Responsibilities
