Check us out: A Day in the Life of the Building of the Future – https://youtu.be/pdZMNrDJviY] What you will do Under minimal supervision, install, calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical instrumentation. Daily, the technician shall coordinate the following tasks with the Operations Officer: Provide general end-user guidance and support. Provide end-user on the job training on system capabilities or features. Provide support for report generation/setup. Provide support schedule or set point changes. Provide support and guidance for changes to password/access rights. Assist with configuration management as future adjustments are made to the system. Assist in trouble shooting and investigation of EMCS related events, equipment issues, or system performance issues. Assist in commissioning and re-commissioning of existing and new facilities. Provide technical assistance with the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). How you will do it Disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of specialty equipment, systems, and controls. Operates such electronic test equipment as multimeters, frequency generators and counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes and oscilloscopes. Inspects, evaluates, and determines necessary modification, performs complex repairs or removal of instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance. May troubleshoot/service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work. Records and reports abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiates corrective action and documentation. Locates part sources, estimates costs and prepares requisition Reinstalls, tests, evaluates, calibrates, and maintains instruments or devices upon completion of repairs. Documents daily record of inspection, maintenance activity, repair and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures. Communicates with customer staff and outside contractors in the calibration, repair and operation of equipment as necessary and coordinates with outside contractors regarding repairs covered by maintenance agreements Writes equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures. Provides direction to less experienced Instrumentation/Calibration Technicians Complies with company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards. Performs work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety procedures. Performs other duties as required.
