Working knowledge of various heating and air conditioning systems including but not limited to Air Handler Units (AHU’s), PTAC units, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Split Systems, Roof Top Units (RTU’s), Computer Room A/C Units (CRAC), walk-in boxes, reach in’s, ice machines and various other types of refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing, trouble shooting and repairing various HVAC and refrigerant equipment in compliance with safety protocols and standards. Required to perform preventative maintenance to minimize electrical and mechanical faults which include cleaning, adjusting, and repairing a wide variety of equipment and systems. Comprehensive understanding of low voltage and voltages up to 480V. Accountable for maintaining accurate daily logs, readings, and records of all maintenance functions. Maintain a neat and clean working environment out in the field, guestrooms, mechanical rooms, and shop. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and prints. Basic understanding of how water treatment systems work in conjunction with closed and open loop HVAC systems. Having an understanding or knowledge of Building Management Systems either pneumatic or electronic is desirable. Promotes positive public relations. Performs other duties as assigned.
