About The Position

Bridgewater College is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to help keep our campus running comfortably and efficiently year-round. In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain, repair, and improve HVAC systems and related infrastructure across campus.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience
• CFC certification (required)
• Working knowledge of HVAC materials, tools, and systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service, and repair HVAC systems and campus steam distribution equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep systems running reliably
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty or inoperative equipment
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, or new installations
• Maintain and service hydraulic, air, gas, water, and steam lines
• Track and manage parts and equipment inventory
• Complete work orders accurately and on time
• Collaborate with Facilities team members, including electrical support as needed
• Assist with snow removal and emergency response, including nonstandard hours when needed
• Support campus and athletic event setup and breakdown
• Follow all safety standards and regulatory requirements
