About The Position

ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic for a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia. The HVAC Mechanic will maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia. This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements

Must be a US citizen and must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance; Candidate must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment
Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license
EPA Universal certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Must demonstrate proficiency with the following: Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC; and Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 – Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems

Responsibilities

Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment
Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems
Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.)
Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities
Maintaining air and water treatment systems
Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks
Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams
Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Other duties as assigned
