Summary: The HVAC Mechanic II performs a wide range of tasks related to the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems within the facility. In addition to core mechanical responsibilities, this role supports broader physical plant operations, including inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of building systems and production support equipment. The HVAC Mechanic II demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills, works independently on moderately complex tasks, and may provide guidance to junior technicians as needed. Responsibilities may extend into other skilled trade areas such as electrical work, plumbing, sheet metal, welding, and general maintenance. The mechanic is expected to complete work orders and PMs on schedule, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, attends meetings or committee assignments when required, and may be called upon to work overtime based on operational needs. The HVAC Mechanic II plays a critical role in sustaining a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment that supports manufacturing and facility operations.
