Reporting to the HVAC Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for providing journey level work in the areas of Heating/Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Hot Water Supply, Plumbing and Food Service Equipment at a multi-custody female correctional facility. Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Completing special repairs and assignments that are received by work orders from authorized personnel. 2. Identifying the cause of a problem and determining materials and tools and method of repair. 3. Carrying out repair procedures independently on most jobs. 4. Performing preventative maintenance functions as required and outlined in the preventative maintenance plans. 5. Training and/or supervising the work of offender workers as needed.
