This Senior level Tradesman will be responsible for Heating, ventilation and air conditioning HVAC systems. The technician will install, maintain and repair indoor air quality systems including, electric and gas fired heaters & boilers, air conditioning split systems, RTU's and Chillers systems. Must be familiar with computerized & automated control systems. You must be a detail oriented, HVAC technician, skilled at cleaning, adjusting and repairing all such systems. You will be responsible for maintaining air quality from new installations to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Ability to work largely unsupervised, calling your supervisor when questions arise and following through with directions given. All work should be done in a generally accepted practice for the task at hand. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in the HVAC field doing service work.
  • Must have Current Valid Driver's License
  • Must have EPA Universal CFC License
  • HVAC License
  • Must have or willing to procure OSHA 10 Certification
  • Understanding of advanced principles of Heating, Air Conditioning and refrigeration
  • Proficient at diagnosing HVAC issues
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems e Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC Protocols
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills e Proficient at reading schematics and work plans
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with little or short notice
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to use HVAC hand tools in a safe and accurate manner Ability to operate power tools proficiently, safely Experience operating related equipment such as saws, drills, Volt meters, AMP Probes, Test Equipment related to HVAC.
  • Proven ability to plan, install and complete projects in a professional manner
  • Proven ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, plans and execute projects timely, on budget with minimal disruption to the site and programs
  • Ability to do repairs timely and get equipment back up and in service
  • Communication is essential to successful completion of all projects. Proven ability to communicate timely, accurately and effectively with all stakeholders
  • Through working knowledge of HVAC processes with the ability to oversee multiple trades
  • Quality Control- Manage all work to a level of workmanship meeting generally accepted industry standards
  • Completion of projects with few or no punch list items, ready for use

Responsibilities

  • Installing, Maintaining and repairing ventilation, A/C systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks.
  • Diagnosing Electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing Systems.
  • Keeping records, receipts, equipment logs, answering your company cell phone, utilizing part location using company computer
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to plan and execute projects in a clean, safe and productive manner
  • Must plan ahead and set up safety barriers, caution tape and other safety measures where required
  • Must be able to produce and follow schedule for the project at hand
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the work site, including clients, staff and the real estate there on
  • Assist and monitor all other trades as required for the execution of the work
  • Maintains records for locations, hours worked, materials used and supplied purchased as required
  • Maintains and retains all credit card receipts, performs monthly reconciliations
  • Uses all company issued equipment including vehicle's, cell phone, computer, credit cards, gas cards exclusively for Gaudenzia LLC business
  • Follow the Directors instructions on methods, means and materials
  • Be willing to take additional classes and education as directed to improve skills, safety and communications if directed
