About The Position

Ragsdale Heating, Air & Plumbing is launching a Paid HVAC Training Program beginning May 18th, 2026. This program offers a long-term career with real earning potential and growth in one of the most in-demand trades. Designed for individuals with zero experience, it provides a clear path to a full-time career. The program starts with 7 weeks of paid, hands-on, instructor-led training in Charlotte, North Carolina, with travel and lodging provided. Participants will learn HVAC fundamentals in both classroom and real-world environments, earning $20/hour during this phase and receiving a $2/hour increase upon successful graduation. Following the initial training, participants will return to their home market for Phase 2: Field Experience, working alongside experienced HVAC Maintenance Technicians. In this phase, they will learn system maintenance, inspections, customer interaction, and build skills in tools, materials, and job site best practices, all while continuing to get paid. This program is ideal for those looking to start a career, learn a skilled trade with long-term stability, and who desire hands-on work, growth opportunities, and real earning potential.

Requirements

• Interest in working with your hands and solving problems
• Ability to work in physical environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Participate in both classroom learning and hands-on training
• Receive comprehensive technical, communication, and process training
• Take part in regular assessments to track progress and understanding
• Engage in weekly ride-a longs with experienced technicians in the field
