About The Position

An an HVAC Lab Technician IV, you will assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications. Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan fabrication requirements, as well as assembly and testing requirements. Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data. Help prepare proposals and cost estimates, as well as the preparation of work load completion date requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year degree or equivalent is preferred.
