About The Position

You must be able to perform a wide variety of HVAC installations in the residential and commercial market. This position has potential for growth within our family-owned company. The ability to provide a high level of customer service is essential to this position. We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing excellent customer service while working in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Pay: $45-50 Per hour DOE Type: Full time permanent employment! Location: Western Long Island, Westchester County, and 5 Burroughs. What you’ll be doing: Install Air conditioning and heating systems in residential and commercial environments in accordance with current codes in new construction projects. Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner. Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks. Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Promote products and services to customer. Produce and maintain organized records and reports. Maintain company vehicle in clean and proper working order with an organized inventory of HVAC repair necessities. Ensure company tools are being used safely, maintained properly and accounted for. Have own tools to perform installations on HVAC systems. Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities. Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC installation
  • Must have a driver's license, clean driving record and capability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
  • Must be willing / able to work overtime and on call rotation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with national, state and local HVAC code regulations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • EPA Certification
  • 608 Certification.
  • The physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases and other confined work areas is also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
