About The Position

The HVAC Working Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing daily field operations while actively working alongside the mechanical crew. This role oversees all HVAC piping, equipment installation, and mechanical systems to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and schedules. The Working Foreman reviews drawings, specifications, and work plans to prepare daily work activities, assigns tasks, and directs crew members to maintain productivity and quality standards. This position ensures smooth day-to-day jobsite operations by coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, while proactively resolving field issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar role, preferably in HVAC or mechanical contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC parts, equipment, and materials is highly desirable inventory management, warehousing, and distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong leadership and team skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all job functions in accordance with the company's Safety Standards;
  • Verify workers are using provided safety gear and inspect the jobsite to identify and correct possible safety hazards;
  • Report any safety violations to the project superintendent;
  • Work with equipment operators and laborers to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the mechanical contracts on commercial and/or residential projects;
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with general contractors and/or owners to facilities project activities;
  • Monitor and control projects to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget;
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures;
  • Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings;
  • May requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
