Requirements

  • Experience – 5+ years in residential HVAC service, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role
  • Technical Expertise – In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Certifications – EPA Type II or Universal Certification required; NATE Certification preferred
  • Leadership Abilities – Proven ability to motivate, train, and lead a team in a fast-paced field environment
  • Customer Service Focus – Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Physical Requirements – Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, work on ladders, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid Driver’s License – Clean driving record required for company vehicle use

Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership – Supervise, mentor, and support HVAC technicians in the field to ensure quality workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Job Site Management – Oversee residential HVAC service and installation projects, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards
  • Technical Support – Provide on-site troubleshooting and advanced technical guidance for complex system issues
  • Training & Development – Help onboard new technicians and provide ongoing coaching to ensure continued skill growth and adherence to company procedures
  • Quality Control – Conduct job audits, inspect work quality, and verify safety compliance across all field operations
  • Customer Relations – Resolve escalated customer concerns and represent the company with professionalism and integrity
  • Scheduling & Coordination – Collaborate with dispatch, service managers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Reporting & Documentation – Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and performance evaluations
  • Safety Oversight – Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment
  • Service Software Use – Utilize Service Titan or equivalent platforms to monitor job progress, technician performance, and job notes
