About The Position

The HVAC/Engine Systems Family Manager will will ensure global coherence, commonality, and coordination across Modules, Platforms, Top Hats, and Programs for HVAC & Engine Systems, while reporting program status and milestone reviews to senior leadership.   The responsibilities include monitoring and controlling unit-level activities such as design modifications, packaging issue resolution, production standards, readiness at Stellantis milestones, SCA implementation, KPIs, risk analysis, test plans, sourcing, weight, cost convergence, style feasibility, and validation. The Candidate will manage product safety and durability studies, guarantee process feasibility in collaboration with manufacturing, and oversee plant readiness to secure budget convergence at and after the Contract Milestone. Additional duties involve managing workload deviations, executing escalation processes, coordinating unit team participation in development phases, leading hot housing kick-offs, and supporting regional SSTLs in technical/design reviews and issue resolution. You will also develop responses to vehicle line investigations, control technical solutions for platforms and modules, approve design changes, and address lessons learned across programs and regions. Finally, you are accountable for meeting cost, quality, performance, and planning targets, ensuring compliance with Internal Control System rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field
  • Familiarity with automotive engine design, components, and testing
  • Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience
  • Critical character traits to ensure success: Organized, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree with emphasis in Business, Finance, Management, or Engineering
  • PMP Certification
  • 5 years or more in design, development and / or validation of HVAC and Engine Systems (Intake, Exhaust, Cooling and Fuel)
