Pro Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer for a position with a local manufacturing company. This is a direct hire position with the company. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
3-5 years of experience in refrigeration system design within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools
Strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles
Familiarity with industrial refrigerants and pressure vessel design
Effective project management and documentation skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams

Nice To Haves

Preferred knowledge of PLCs and automated control systems

Responsibilities

Design and develop refrigeration systems, including chillers, evaporators, condensers, and piping layouts
Perform thermal and mechanical calculations to optimize energy efficiency and performance
Select components and materials based on cost, durability, and manufacturing requirements
Oversee creation of detailed CAD drawings and schematics for new installations and retrofits
Collaborate with production and quality teams to integrate systems into workflows
Support testing and validation of performance under simulated conditions
Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, UL, CE, EPA, and regulatory standards
Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems to reduce downtime and improve reliability
