About The Position

The HVAC Counter Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling HVAC products and solutions to engineers, contractors, and end users within a designated territory. This role involves developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups. Key activities include identifying project opportunities early in the design phase, influencing equipment selection through technical expertise, and providing accurate project quotations. The representative will collaborate with manufacturers, maintain a deep understanding of the product portfolio, track opportunities in CRM, and strive to meet or exceed sales goals. Additionally, the role requires attending industry events and providing market feedback to management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the commercial HVAC or mechanical industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
