As the Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist for Controls, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment pursuing opportunities for both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects. This role is a great fit for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and have outstanding customer service. This is the ideal role for those that are results-oriented and are adept at handling large mechanical customer projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ Years of experience selling B2B within the HVAC, building controls, or building automation industry
  • Must be able lift/carry 20 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, be comfortable working on roofs/platforms

  • Extremely comfortable operating in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software
  • Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to sell directly to end user customer
  • Previous experience in selling service agreements
  • Demonstrates ability to introduce others to cross sell and upsell within their base of customers

Responsibilities

  • Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities
  • Demonstrate expertise in Commercial HVAC
  • Promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions
  • Manage complex multi service solutions proposals
  • Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities and opportunity pipeline
  • Demonstrate well developed sales skills to include expert awareness, commercial acumen and integrity
  • Seek out and access new Modernization opportunities both with existing customers and new prospect customers
  • Establish and build credibility
  • Develop and sustain customer relationships
  • Create compelling presentations and communicate effectively
  • Detect the Customer’s buying stage and adjust selling accordingly
  • Manage multiple activities all occurring at the same time, organize others and workflow to meet objectives on time
  • Anticipate future trends accurately
  • Adapts quickly in face pace environment to gain the order/booking in a timely manner
  • Consistently achieve sales metrics and annual targets
  • Create high quality timely estimates, bids & proposals including detailed cost benefit analysis to support client's business case for investment.
