Position Summary In your role as an HVAC Senior Controls Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting the Facilities Operations Management Group (FOM). You'll work to maintain control systems that provide continuous utilities for a semiconductor wafer fab. HVAC systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated engineering field (e.g Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical).
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems, process instrumentation systems, or building automation design and construction highly desired.
  • Must have good working experience with Honeywell Experion PKS (DCS) and Allen Bradley PLC.
  • Controls networking and industrial fieldbus knowledge highly desired.
  • Have the ability to create construction drawings, details, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow diagrams (PFD), etc.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Windows based applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of controls engineering concepts and systems including PID, Feed Forward, pneumatics, fans, flow meters, air handling systems, industrial chilled water, heating, process piping, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, is a benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day support to operations and resolve HVAC control related issues at site utility or supporting equipment.
  • Maintaining a technical focus on capacity management, problem solving, root cause analysis, engineering design, cost estimating, financial management, project management, and system documentation.
  • Working to integrate reliability focus and risk analysis to include FMEA'S, root cause analysis, design, commissioning, training, and 8D problem solving methods.
  • Being available to Operations Team during and after normal business hours to assist with control system issues.
  • Assist/lead in troubleshooting and identifying countermeasures of system operational issues.
  • Provides guidance to personnel and management on technical projects, incidents or changes (Leads the direction of the controls team).
  • Innovating and implementing cost reduction projects that reduce operating and maintenance cost of responsible systems.
  • Review and analyze data for equipment/systems to ensure they are running within specifications.
  • Understand and apply 5S methodology in work spaces and processes to increase efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with controls system design, construction, startup/commissioning
  • Create and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
