HVAC Commercial MF Installer/Tradesman/Journeyman Reports To: Field Foreman Shift/Hours: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Position Overview Under direct supervision of the Lead Installer, an HVAC Commercial MF Installer will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. Installations will be up to code and Villara’s exceptional quality standards.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as basic algebra and geometry.
Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.
Must be able to travel from job site to job site
Must be able to transport tools and a ladder to multiple job sites if needed
Must be able to ascend ladders to heights of eight feet or higher, and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and inclined surfaces.
Able to work in high areas including rafters and roofs in elevated areas up to 8 stories.
Able to exert physical strength necessary to move objects weighing eighty plus ponds from one level to another.

Nice To Haves

Prior construction or HVAC experience a plus

Responsibilities

Install vents, duct work (flex and metal), plenum, equipment and registers in residential and commercial buildings using hand and power tools according to code and established company procedures.
Measure and cut sheet metal by using hand and power tools.
Move materials from delivery area to installation area.
Set and place forced air and A/C units.
Assembles bags of pre-assembled air handling systems by taping, caulking and/or Panduit strapping at common attachment points according to plans.
Clean up all debris on the job site and sweep up sawdust.
Exercise caution when operating or using tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.
Set of plans, note pad and pen to take notes given by Foreman/ Supervisor
