About The Position

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems. The HVAC Comfort Representative must develop new leads, close deals, must obtain the skills to listen to customer needs and meet those needs to be satisfied and ensure that customers receive outstanding customer service experience. This position is responsible for selling residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related products to residential customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in residential HVAC sales required.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and listening skills, along with friendly telephone etiquette and professional demeanor.
  • Problem-solve independently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with solutions for their HVAC and other home comfort needs.
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct local Door to Door Sales.
  • Conduct Market research to identify potential customers and new sales opportunities.
  • Consult with potential and existing customers to provide a HVAC system solution including our exclusive maintenance program.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-up to ensure all sales agreements have been fulfilled to customer satisfaction.
  • Report all findings, customer opinions, pictures, and results to company.
  • Follow-up with existing sales bids and offer any additional information as needed to convert them into sales.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasize salable features, quotes, prices, and credit terms and prepare sales orders for jobs sold.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Be a positive influence in representing EMCOR/Mesa Energy Systems to our contract.
  • Participate in various sales activities to support corporate efforts including, but not limited to, trade shows, referral groups, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
