The HVAC Technician is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment, including but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls, and BMS/EMS. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs, conducting building tours, maintaining equipment logs, and reporting deficiencies for corrective action. The technician will respond to HVAC trouble calls, troubleshoot systems to meet operational and comfort needs, and be proficient in BMS/EMS functionality and sequences. They will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to evaluate building system operations, troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls, and perform necessary repairs. The position requires ongoing maintenance as part of the facilities' preventive maintenance program, assisting other tradesmen, and performing emergency repairs. Adherence to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedules and completion of work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions are essential. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining operational SOPs for site-specific equipment and systems. The ability to work in a team or with minimal supervision is required, as is the flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
