HVAC and Equipment Maintenance
About The Position
The Lutheran Home is seeking an experienced professional for the HVAC and Equipment Maintenance position. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and monitoring HVAC units as well as various equipment and appliances across our healthcare community. The individual evaluates the viability of repairing equipment versus replacement while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- HVAC certification or license required
- Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Performing routine HVAC maintenance including inspections, filter changes, and system checks
- Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components, piping, and refrigeration systems
- Testing system performance and checking for leaks or faulty connections
- Repairing and maintaining facility appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, fryers, and ovens
- Replacing worn or defective parts including belts, bearings, switches, and wiring
- Installing HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, and control valves
- Ordering materials and maintaining records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Evaluating equipment to determine whether repair or replacement is the best solution
- Supporting general maintenance needs across Lutheran Home properties
