About The Position

We are seeking a HVAC Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Program Managers and key stakeholders, serving as the local, on-site representative to both customers and contractors. Responsibilities include conducting energy efficiency audits, pre- and post-installation verifications, and other technical data collection activities. You will also provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client requirements. Additionally, you will work directly with contractors to address and resolve HVAC-related inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues, recommending solutions for various program measures. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact within our organization. The ideal candidate will be based in Austin, Texas, with frequent local travel required. A company vehicle will be provided.

Requirements

  • HVAC TDLR Technician Certification (required)
  • EPA Type Universal Certification (required)
  • 3–5 years of HVAC experience
  • Background in energy efficiency, building diagnostics, air infiltration, and insulation
  • Experience providing technical guidance, training, and support
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance reviews and residential energy audits, including on-site verifications and electronic review of field data entered into the program database.
  • Deliver technical advice, guidance, and training related to installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • Communicate project scope, planning updates, and product effectiveness to program staff.
  • Offer technical support for HVAC systems to contractors in the field.
  • Resolve HVAC installation issues in accordance with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to provide verbal assistance and resolve HVAC questions.
