About The Position

This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the Cancer Prevention and Control grant ending on June 29, 2027. The availability of funding is scheduled for review on June 29, 2026 and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds. The EWL Clinical Coordinator provides clinical support and guidance to the Every Woman's Lie program, which resides within the Division of Prevention and Health Promotion in the Office of Family Health Services. The primary job duties include: (1) oversight of the clinical quality assurance component of the program; (2) conducting routine site visits of EWL providers; documents results and works collaboratively with providers to establish quality improvement plans as needed; (3) ensuring clinical and patient navigation services of program adhere to nationally recognized guidelines and are delivered in accordance with national standards; (4) collaborating with health system partners to apply quality improvement practices to improve clinical care and increase screening rates and recruitment into EWL; (5) presenting EWL and breast/cervical information at educational events locally, statewide, and nationally; (6) the development and provision of educational programs to enhance skills and maintain competency levels of EWL providers. Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles, practices of state and federal regulations related to public health nursing
  • Knowledge of breast and cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment
  • Ability to implement nursing case management principles
  • Skill in assuring compliance with current national clinical standards
  • Skill in applying quality improvement principles to foster improvement in clinician performance

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in educating clinicians and the public on cancer prevention and control best practices
  • Preferred knowledge of the special and specific needs of the medically uninsured population
  • Preferred degree in nursing and licensure as a registered nurse
