Human Services & Counseling Affiliate Faculty
About The Position
The Department of Human Services & Counseling offers two majors; Fire and Emergency Response Administration and Human Services. Human Services offers concentrations in addiction studies, high risk youth studies, mental health counseling, and nonprofit studies. Qualified applicants will be placed in the departmental pool and will be considered for Affiliate/part-time departmental needs. The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Gerontology, Rehabilitation, Women’s Studies, Communication, Nonprofit Studies, Behavior Science or related field; or tested experience ( FERA )
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the field
- teaching experience or experience presenting or facilitating educational activities
- experience working with diverse populations
- CAC III / LAC and State approval required for certain addiction studies classes
