About The Position

POSITION: Full-Time Human Services Faculty (Assistant Professor): Department of Human Services, Division of Business & Professional Studies; Tenure Track; (Haverhill & Lawrence) Campus; 37.5 hours per week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position. SUMMARY: The Human Services program is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach a range of courses across its associate degree and certificate programs. This position reports to the Dean of Business and Professional Studies.

Requirements

Master's Degree or higher in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years of full-time teaching experience in the Human Services field.
Experience using technology in instruction and/or assessment.
Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated commitment to equity in educational or human service settings.
Demonstrated leadership in the field of human services or education.

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching at the college level across multiple instructional modalities.
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience working with or managing grants
Experience with alternative methods of credit assessment
Ability to teach in other areas of Professional Studies as needed, including but not limited to Education or Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

Teach a variety of Human Services courses across all program levels.
Develop and teach face to face, online, hybrid, and accelerated courses.
Teach Human Services courses within NECC's Early College program.
Participate in curriculum development and assessment at the course and program levels.
Use academic technology to effectively communicate with students and colleagues.
Actively participate in college service, which may include department and division meetings, college committees, community engagement, event programming, and offering practicum/career guidance.
Collaborate and engage with students, faculty, and academic advisors to support student success.
Serve as an academic advisor to assigned students.
Maintain weekly office hours.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean of Business and Professional Studies.
