About The Position

Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker, earning $16.49–$20.90/hour . In this onsite role at our Payson Family Clinic, you'll work alongside a compassionate team committed to supporting individuals experiencing severe mental illness and other behavioral health challenges. You'll play an important part in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can access the care and resources they need to thrive. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 15-passenger van for client transportation
  • Provide compassionate support, supervision, and positive engagement to participants
  • Facilitate structured activities, life-skills groups, and daily program routines
  • Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
  • Accurately document interactions, observations, and client progress
  • Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Model healthy coping skills, pro-social behavior, and supportive communication
