About The Position

The Human Resources Supervisor, under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, is responsible for conducting higher level day-to-day operations of the Westfield plant HR Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources OR Bachelor’s Degree plus two years of experience in human resources roles OR 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources role(s)
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/other e-mail software

Responsibilities

  • Conducts talent acquisition for plant hourly roles.
  • The incumbent actively markets, recruits, interviews, and hires for hourly plant positions.
  • The incumbent onboards new employees through completion of all required paperwork and participation in the orientation program.
  • Administers plant HR recordkeeping programs.
  • The incumbent maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • The incumbent similarly maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
  • Serves as plant HR representative .
  • The incumbent maintains relationships with plant hourly employees and acts as a primary point-of-contact and resource for that population.
  • The incumbent works closely with the HR Manager to maintain employee relations and serves as the Human Resources Manager’s backup when appropriate.
