This will provide you with the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes your personal and professional growth. We are seeking a full-time Intern for our Houston office located in Katy, Tx to join our team for a duration of 10 consecutive weeks from June to August.
Requirements
- May hold or be working towards an associates or bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field)
- 18 years of age or older and able to work in Houston, TX
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party
- A desire to pursue a career in Human Resources working in the construction industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and stated objectives while managing shifting priorities.
Nice To Haves
- Ideal candidate will have previous work experience in an office environment.
Responsibilities
- Get exposure to the various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, workforce diversity, training, professional development, health & wellness, and HR special projects and general administrative functions
- Assist with research, coordination and administration of Human Resources programs and initiatives
- Assist the HR team with planning and executing district initiatives
- Lead social media initiative
- Filed and organized confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
- Undertake research projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
