About The Position

As our Human Resources & Staff Development Intern, you will support both the Human Resources and Training & Staff Development teams with a variety of projects related to employee learning, engagement, and compliance. The role offers exposure to several areas, including onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, training program design and delivery, new employee orientation, and other key initiatives. This is a great opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience and a broad understanding of both Human Resources and Training & Development in a professional setting. And, as part of the internship, you’ll get to complete at least one key project to enhance your learning experience and highlight your resume.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the internship (10 weeks, from June 1 – August 7, 2026). The schedule will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm and this position will be based out of our Burnsville Administrative Office.
  • Third- or fourth-year college student in active pursuit of a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Education or related, and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.
  • Availability to work full-time throughout the duration of the internship (10 weeks, from June 1 – August 7, 2026).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Open to feedback and eager to develop professionally through hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
  • Comfortable with public speaking or facilitation; eager to practice presentation skills in a professional setting.
  • Team oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.
